“I got excited about discipleship after attending the Men at the Cross conference in Saint Louis a few years ago. Joe challenged us to make a difference in some other man’s life just as Christ did with the 12 men he mentored here on earth. I decided to stretch myself and ask a new acquaintance to meet with me once a week at a local coffee shop and go thru the One to One book that was passed out at the conference. Wow! I have been blessed to see God work. All I had to do was to be willing to invest in another man and talk to him about Jesus. The Holy Spirit did the rest. I got to witness a miracle here on earth. I saw the scales fall off my friend’s eyes as God revealed Himself to my friend in only the way God can.” – Andy Benes
